Del Frisco’s Grille, housed within Southlake Town Square, is the perfect place to stop after a day of shopping. Calabrese Southlake is the best upscale Italian dining, in Southlake, with excellent hospitality, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for its patrons. The Calabrese’s hand-crafted fettuccine verdi al granchio or the unique orecchiette alla calabrese are local favorites.
For great entertainment, Southlake residents go to the APEX Arts League, a mission-driven arts organization that puts on events, like documentaries on the art of Venice and art shows in the center of Southlake Town Square. The city of Southlake has a number of seasonal events, including the Masterworks Concert Series, Stars & Stripes in July, and Oktoberfest.
Southlake Town Square is the best place to go in Southlake for unique and upscale shops as well as movies, events, and games. Oakley, Peloton, Coach, and Sephora are just a few of the 100 shops available. Patrons can dine in the square or visit the brand-new EVO Entertainment facility for a night of bumper cars or high ropes adventure. In addition to Southlake Town Square, the Shops of Southlake center on East Southlake Blvd. features stores like DSW and Calico Home with designer wallpaper.
Things to Do
One of the best places to golf in Southlake is at the Vaquero Golf Club. It has 525-acres of perfectly manicured outdoor space where members can play a round of golf, spend the morning fishing, or unwind after a long day at the office. In addition to Vaquero, Southlake is close to the Timarron Country Club as well as the Junior Athletic Golf Academy where kids can hone their skills in the sport.
Bicentennial Park is Southlake’s first and best public outdoor recreation area. One of the largest parks in the city, Bicentennial offers residents tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and basketball courts as well as concession stands, fishing areas, trails, and playgrounds. You can bring the family for an afternoon picnic in the fall or take the dog for a walk along with one of the connected paths.
For an afternoon of horseback riding on the trails in Southlake, visit Marshall Creek Ranch off highway 114. The ranch features 39-miles of trails to explore by horseback or families can book part of the ranch for birthday parties. Summer riding lessons are also available, as well as boarding.
